
| Stephen Bornet is a licensed real estate agent in Connecticut and New York. As he describes himself, he spent his whole preparing for this job in real estate, which uses a unique blend of skills in client services, negotiations, marketing and advertising, as well as database management and web development - - as well as compassion, patience and high energy. He's an active sales agent who has attended numerous Broker Open Houses for single-family homes, condominiums and multi-family properties in Stamford, Greenwich and Norwalk. Mr. Bornet holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA), a Master of Arts (MA), and Bachelor of Arts degrees, as well as certifications in Purchasing Management (Certified Purchasing Manager), Business Communications (International Association of Business Communicators) and Public Speaking (Certified Toastmaster). He also was special-sections editor at The New York Daily News, and editor of a number of business publications and web sites for corporations. He teaches, when he finds time, at the Metropolitan Real Estate School in Norwalk, CT, and has served as a substitute teacher in the Stamford Public Schools. He has left two careers behind: One as a business executive in New York City (Managing Editor, PR Director and Sourcing Process Leader for corporations) and another as a Commander in the United States Naval Reserve, where he oversaw large community events and spearheaded international projects in this country and overseas. He was Navy Journalist who served aboard an aircraft carrier (USS YORKTOWN CVS-10) during the Vietnam War. He holds the Navy's Commendation Medal, as well as various campaign medals. Mr. Bornet also serves as a certified sailing instructor (American Sailing Association) and teaches sailing at the Manhattan Sailing School in New York Harbor. He manages a how-to sail/race faster web site, with a sailing chart and guide. Mr. Bornet is a member the Stamford Historical Society and the New York Athletic Club, as well as being a member of the Board of Directors of his condominium association in the Shippan neighborhood of Stamford. He also is an active member of Rotary International, a service organization, and is Past Commodore and an Honorary Lifetime Member of a yacht club on City Island, N.Y. (Stuyvesant Yacht Club, founded in the 19th century). He is married (his wife works in the real estate industry), and they have a grown son, a stockbroker and graduate of Iona College in New York. |
